There are a wide variety of events and activities available in the immediate vicinity of our apartment and the surrounding area. Obviously with such a large, clean, warm and beautiful lake right on our doorstep, the water based facilities are superb, but this is also an area renowned for paragliding and there are other mountain activites for adreneline junkies, or stunning scenery and excellent restaurants for those who wish to savour a more sedate pace to their holiday!
Annecy is not a resort that closes up for the winter. You will still find plenty going on and a wide choice of restaurants open. In December you can enjoy a magical alpine Christmas with illuminations, Christmas Markets, skating rink, tourist train & concerts. The 'Marché de Noël Annecy' is set up in the old town and the 'Le Village des Alpes' and the ice skating rink are set up in Place Francois de Menthon - near the Courier commercial centre.
There are a number of excellent ski resorts within half an hour to one hour's drive or bus journey which offer a great variety of skiing, snowboarding, cross country, raquettes and snow fun for all levels.
